The Truck Shop

Where We Came From

Why do we do what we do? We exists to provide our friends with a product or service that helps them meet there goal in a way that they cannot help but tell their neighbors and friends about how we helped them.

I started out driving trucks when I was 15 years old and bought my first truck in 1980. I started hauling flatbeds, then transitioned to pneumatic trailers, tank trailers, pressure tanks, belly dumps, and various others. All that time, I always did my own repairs, both minor and major. I was pretty good and got better with experience. When you own a truck, there is always something to do.

In 1986, I knew it was time to be home more to watch my three sons grow up, so I started trucking shorter distances and working on other drivers' trucks to pay the grocery bill. I also hired some guys and we kept doing more and more work.

In 1994, we moved our business, to Lockwood. We have built an amazing list of loyal customers who also are our good friends. Our employees are like part of our family that operates as a team. We always have our customers' best interests in mind. Hardly a day goes by that we don't advise someone to not spend money or choose a less expensive truck purchase or repair solution.

I have been on both sides of the check regarding repairs and know how hard it can be to write one. So, it always has been our goal to help our friends and customers stay in business and be able to come back to see us again.

We are not the same as we were in the beginning, thank God. We have changed from a repair facility that would do anything to a more directed business – still bent on doing everything possible to help whoever comes through our door but limiting our services to working our salvage yard and truck sales.
